Description:

  • PREDATOR OF THE SUNSHINE STATE – The Florida panther is an extremely endangered subspecies of the Puma concolor, which is commonly known by many names, including cougar, mountain lion, and puma. These cats are very territorial animals and require lots of space to hunt. Thus, conserving their habitat of cypress swamp and pineland is key to their survival.
  • PLIGHT OF THE PANTHER – The Florida panther faces many threats, including alligators, pesticides, and automobiles, but the biggest issues facing these animals are habitat loss and a lack of genetic diversity. It is the only remaining Puma concolor subspecies left in the eastern United States. The Florida panther is only found in southern Florida and its population may number just 160 animals.
  • MADE WITH INDUSTRY–LEADING STANDARDS – Like all Safari Ltd products, this figurine has been individually hand painted, features quality construction from phthalate and lead–free materials, and includes an educational hang tag in 5 languages.
  • REALISTIC APPEARANCE FOR MULTIPLE USES – Realistic, educational, and fun, this figurine is suitable for a range of interests, including collectors, enthusiasts, teachers, and kids. Admire it on a shelf, use it in the classroom, or simply enjoy playing with it.
  • PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS – This Florida Panther figure is 5 ¼ inches tall and 9 inches long, making it just a bit taller than a soda can and a bit wider than a standard legal sheet of paper. The upper part of its body is a pale reddish brown, while its undersides are white. It has bright yellow eyes and dark brown markings on its face, as well as dark brown ears, paw pads, and tail tip.
